Solar & battery for Manufacturing & industrial
On a manufacturing tariff the peak you hit for fifteen minutes can cost more than the energy you use all month.
Demand charges, not consumption, are usually the problem.
It comes down to the load shape
Typical profile
Heavy three-phase process load with sharp start-up peaks, often shift-based.
Manufacturing sites are usually on demand tariffs, where a significant part of the bill is set by the highest peak recorded in the billing period rather than total consumption. That changes the objective completely: reducing your peak can be worth more than reducing your energy.
Solar alone only helps with that if the peak happens to fall in daylight. Where it doesn't — a morning start-up surge, or an evening shift — storage is what shaves it, and it's sized on the peak rather than on annual usage. Getting that distinction wrong is the most common reason a commercial system underdelivers against its business case.
Process loads also raise questions solar alone doesn't answer: power factor, harmonics, and whether the site's supply and switchboard can take the addition. Those are engineering questions and we treat them as such.
Demand charges often matter more than total consumption
Storage sized on the peak, not on annual usage
Power factor, harmonics and switchboard capacity assessed properly
How we work
Feasibility, ROI, approvals, then install
Every project starts with your actual interval data rather than an assumption about your sector. The pattern above is where we start looking, not what we conclude.
Turnkey project management
From feasibility studies and system design through to grid connection approvals and compliance — we manage every stage.
Grid compliance & DNSP approvals
Expert navigation of the regulatory frameworks, working directly with Distribution Network Service Providers.
Network & retailer collaboration
We work with energy retailers and embedded network operators to ensure smooth integration into energy markets.
In-house servicing & warranty
We handle all warranties in-house, with our own technicians providing ongoing maintenance and long-term support.

Talk to us about manufacturing & industrial
Send us twelve months of interval data and we'll model what a system would actually do on your site — generation, demand reduction, rebates and payback.
