Solar & battery for Wineries

Vintage is a short, intense, refrigeration-heavy peak — and sizing on an annual average completely misses it.

Eleven quiet months and one that decides everything.

It comes down to the load shape

Typical profile

Low base load most of the year, with a severe refrigeration and processing peak through vintage.

A winery's consumption is wildly uneven. For most of the year the site draws relatively little; through vintage, crushing and fermentation temperature control push demand up hard for a few weeks. Any system sized on a twelve-month average will be comfortably wrong in both directions — oversized for most of the year and undersized when it matters.

The useful news is that vintage falls in late summer and early autumn, when generation is still strong. That alignment is what makes solar work here, provided the design is built around the peak weeks rather than the quiet ones.

Many wineries also sit on rural feeders where supply quality is variable, and barrel halls and tank farms give useful roof and ground-mount area that the winery building itself may not.

How we work

Feasibility, ROI, approvals, then install

Every project starts with your actual interval data rather than an assumption about your sector. The pattern above is where we start looking, not what we conclude.

Turnkey project management

From feasibility studies and system design through to grid connection approvals and compliance — we manage every stage.

Grid compliance & DNSP approvals

Expert navigation of the regulatory frameworks, working directly with Distribution Network Service Providers.

Network & retailer collaboration

We work with energy retailers and embedded network operators to ensure smooth integration into energy markets.

In-house servicing & warranty

We handle all warranties in-house, with our own technicians providing ongoing maintenance and long-term support.

Talk to us about wineries

Send us twelve months of interval data and we'll model what a system would actually do on your site — generation, demand reduction, rebates and payback.
